ABOUT ME

Welcome to my portfolio! I’m Róisín Clothier, an Irish animator and illustrator currently based in Bristol.

I am a freelance artist focused on re-framing scientific, educational, and environmental topics in a way that makes information more engaging and accessible to the wider public.

I have previously worked in animation studios across Ireland and the UK as a background artist & designer on several productions, ranging from 2D commercials and TV shows to 2D & 3D feature films.

My prior animation studio roles include working at Infocandy Animations, Jellyfish Pictures on Dreamwork’s ‘Dogman’, Telegael on the 2D and 3D animated feature films ‘Bartali’s Bicycle’ and ‘My Freaky Family’ respectively, as well as at Igloo Animations on “Tales from Dún Draíochta”.

I hold a Professional Certificate in Art & Ecology from NCAD, a BA(Hons) Degree in animation from CDCFE in conjunction with the University of Wolverhampton, and a HND in Classical and Computer Animation from BCFE.
